Hello my name is Roxanne, I am a disabled veteran & mother I have two young children. We moved from another state for our own safety and to be in a better environment the one prior environment was just not helping any of us grow & the lack of support took a toll on all of us mentally and emotionally.
I am a single parent raising two young children under 8. Moving from the South has not been easy I have navigated health challenges from surviving DV and service connected. My sons and I are on the road to healing and recovery but it has been challenging with one parent income. I’ve been tested for cancer thankfully testing negative, I have permanent damage in my spinal cord, and now live with mobility issues but I give all my love care and efforts to my children one of which being neurodivergent. He has taught me a lot about myself as well as how to meet his needs and how to advocate for all of us.
Living in California has had its obstacles but we are happy to be together and grateful for everything that we have & all the help can be received by others if any.
Any help or donations is greatly appreciated ALL will go to supporting my children for their diapers, wipes, clothing, and meals solely. As well as to help pay for gas to and from appointments for my oldest son’s necessary therapy services .
Thank you for reading my story and I hope I can give someone else that is reading this or knows someone who is going through a difficult time and trying to escape for a better life from DV you are not alone and there is hope it is hard the first month but you are strong it is possible !
