Hello everyone, I am creating this fund raiser for my sister in law Roxanne. She has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. The cancer has now taking over her body and is no longer something controllable or tolerable for her body to handle. It has spread to her brain, spine and lungs. She has decided to stop treatment and begin her journey home to be with her family. She will leave the hospital under Hospice care and we have a plan to keep her as comfortable as possible, but she has one last request we are hoping to have some help with.
She has 2 children Caeden and Kenadi and her partner of 10 years Michelle. Roxanne has made the decision to gift/donate her body to Science Care to help other people in the future to maybe find and treat similar patients with the rare gene mutation she has. So instead of a funeral she would like to have her last wish be a small vacation to see the beach with her kids and partner. We are planning a road trip with lots of stops to help her to get to the beach and find that last peace of solitude there and enjoy the sun, sand and waves with the kids and have them do some fishing which they all love to do.
If you know Roxanne or her family you know the journey she is on has not been easy. She has been battling cancer for over 6 years and she is just to tired to continue. So we would like to make her days for as long as they may last something her and her family will remember and make lots of lasting memories.
If you can help in any way every dollar helps us closer to giving her and the kids a vacation to remember. We plan to make many stops as her body will need breaks from being in the car for so long. She is not clear to fly so we will have to rent a van/SUV suitable for her. This money will go towards gas, hotels, food and some cute memorabilia for the kids and lots of pictures of course.
You can reach out to myself Vivi Liz on Facebook, Roxanne also will post she's not as active all the time, or even to Michelle for any updates or questions.
If you cant donate, please just help share this fundraiser everything helps. And thank you so much
