Roxana needs a place to live after fire
Donation protected
Hi there. I’m Libby. On Feb 18 a feral cat trapper and advocate, who I had been helping through my job in animal rescue, lost her Upper Darby home in a fire. At the time of the fire she was having 2 cats spayed at the clinic where I work. Having left her phone at home that day, she returned in the early evening to total devastation. Many furry lives were lost. Roxana and the surviving cats were left homeless.
Project Meow has helped the the surviving cats into rescue and treated them for their injuries. Until recently, Roxana was squatting in what’s left of her home, hoping that some frightened cats might return. She’s now been redirected to a local homeless shelter and treks across Upper Darby to check on her home and her cat colonies daily.
At the time of the fire Roxana, a retired Penn researcher, was working part-time as a crossing guard. Now homeless and unable to work, the little funds she had (and the assistance she has received) are disappearing fast. My hope is to raise enough money specifically so that she can rent an apartment while she attempts to salvage what is left of her house/ life.
I so appreciate your consideration-
Love,
Libby
