Hello Everyone,

 

I have been very fortunate to be asked along to join a small team of ocean rowers to cross the Atlantic. To put this into perspective, more people have summited Everest than have completed this challenge. We will be doing this with the hope of raising money for several worthwhile charities including, but not limited to, The Firefighters Charity, RMA Royal Marines Charity, Not Forgotten Association, Veterans United Against Suicide and Go Again Mental Health Consultancy.

This December the 4 of us will embark on the 3000 mile ocean crossing departing from Gran Canaria. A relentless pattern of rowing two hours on, two off, day and night will be maintained until finally reaching our destination of Barbados. This will also be a world record attempt so time for fishing, dolphin spotting and sunbathing will be kept to a minimum! With fair winds and following seas we hope to complete this challenge in around 30 days.
