Rowing Ireland: Irish Sea to Atlantic Challenge

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Eoghan, and I’m taking on a solo rowing challenge across Ireland — from the Irish Sea in Dublin to the Atlantic Ocean at Limerick — using only our inland waterways.

This isn’t a race. It’s a test of endurance, resilience, and mindset.

I’ll be rowing over 200km through the Grand Canal and the River Shannon, lifting the boat around over 40 locks along the way, and navigating long days on the water completely under my own power.

The goal is simple:
Start at the Irish Sea… and finish at the edge of the Atlantic.

I’m raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Ireland, Autism Ireland, and Diabetes Ireland — three charities that are very close to my heart.

These conditions have had a significant impact on my family, and this challenge is my way of giving something back, raising awareness, and supporting the incredible work these organisations do.

There are costs involved in taking on a challenge like this, including funding the boat and essential equipment, and any support will help make this possible. Once those costs are covered, all additional funds raised will be donated directly to these charities.

There will be long days, tough conditions, and moments where I’ll have to dig deep — but that’s exactly why I’m doing it.

If you’d like to support the journey, I’d really appreciate it. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.

Thanks for being part of it.
