On November 1rst, our crew of 6 rowers will depart from the Canary Islands with a common goal: crossing the Atlantic to with nothing else but our strength, the winds and currents. Onboard of our 10meters long rowing boat, the 32 to 60 days journey will be a human, mental and physical challenge!

Who will take part to the project?
Honorine VAN DEN BROEK: 25yrs old, optimist, adventurer, I have discovered rowing four years ago in my university, and never stopped since then! The sea is not unknown though: when I was 10, I crossed the Pacific on a sailing boat with my family, and faced the beauty of high seas.
Architect and Engineer, I work today as a researcher for Climate and Health at C40 Cities, in order to help cities reduce their carbon emissions and adapt to climate change. The environment protection is my everyday challenge in my work but also my everyday life when I try to minimise my carbon footprint in my food, clothing, traveling and living.
Patrick FAVRE is 1 of 3 skippers in the world that have successfully rowed across the Atlantic 5 times.
Other crewmates: Renaud ROBERT (Engineer - Consultant, Dancer), Nicolas TODOROVIC (Engineer - Officer, Tri-athlete) and 2 other adventurers.
On what boat will we cross the Atlantic?
The 10m boat is designed for 6 rowers, prepared to survive in high seas. There are two smalls cabins at the bow and stern, and three sculling seats. Our navigation and small cooking equipment will be stored in the stern cabin, as well as our essential dessalinaser.
Why? For the physical, human and psychological challenge, for the opportunity to learn, to be fully and unconditionally immersed in nature, for the adventure and to LIVE!
Your Support
In order to succesfully undertake this adventure, each rower must contribute 24 000 € to the total budget. This will cover the boat upgrade, the navigation and security material, trainings, logistics and food. Your donations will help me cover these costs.

Le premier novembre prochain, mon équipage se lancera à la poursuite d’un défi fou: traverser l’Atlantique à la rame en équipage. A bord d’un petit bateau de dix mètres, nous allons tous les six partir dans cette aventure humaine qui repousse les frontières physiques, géographiques et mentales.
Cette épreuve d’endurance est longue, entre 32 et 50 jours sur l’eau, en ramant sans interruption vers l’Ouest.

Quels sont les matelots?
Honorine VAN DEN BROEK
Née à Paris, j'ai posé ses premiers pieds sur un bateau à 3 mois, et traversé le Pacifique en famille en voiliers à 10ans. Passionnée d’aviron, découvert pendant mes études à Centrale, j' ai remporté plusieurs médailles universitaires féminines et coaché les jeunes équipes centraliennes, avant d’entrer en équipe semi-pro aux Pays Bas. Architecte et ingénieure de formation, j'ai travaillé à Taiwan et Rotterdam en cabinet d’architecture durable. Je travaille aujourd’hui à Londres en tant que chercheuse en transition environnementale pour aider les mégalopoles mondiales à allier les problématiques de santé et climat. Toujours à la recherche de nature, je vis aujourd’hui sur un bateau dans les canaux londoniens.

Quel bateau utiliserons nous?
Le bateau de 10m est conçu pour 6 rameurs, et préparé pour la haute mer. Deux cabines a l'avant et l'arrière abritent les couchettes, les instruments de navigation et le cuisine, ainsi qut notre essentiel dessalinisateur. Trois postes de rames sont au centre.
Pourquoi ? Pour le défi physique, humain et psychologique, pour l'apprentissage, pour l'immersion dans la nature, pour l'aventure et pour VIVRE !
Votre soutien
Afin de réaliser cette aventure, chaque rameur doit participer à hauteur de 24 000 euros au budget total. Ceci nous permet de renover le bateau, les instruments de navigation, les balises de sécurité et communication (irridium), les entrainements, la nourriture et la logistique.
