Rowers Climb Mt Snowdon (with rowing machine)

Hi, we're the University of Birmingham Boat Club's (UBBC) Mens Squad. We're fundraising for new kit and we think regular fundraisers are boring; therefore we've decided to lug a Concept2 rowing machine up Mt Snowdon.

Our top performing boats are racing with blades (oars) that are a generation old, with some of our sets being purchased over 20 years ago. Wear and tear means that these blades are well past their prime and in dire need of replacing. This upgrade will significantly help us achieve our goal of qualifying for Henley Royal Regatta for the first time in over a decade, re-establishing ourselves as a top university boat club.

We hope you find our fundraiser a bit more interesting than the average bake sale. If we hit our target before the event, one of our squad will do a max effort 2km test piece at the summit.
