Mom, Carol Rowe is 68 years old undergoing chemotherapy for recently diagnosed. Battling multiple myeloma with associated cardiac amyloidosis, a condition that causes heart-related problems. This has recently necessitated the implantation of a permanent pacemaker/defibrillator due to lethal arrhythmias. She has not been home since May 31st.
During her hospitalization, and ensuing chemotherapy treatment and skilled nursing rehabilitation, dad (William Rowe), just 74 years old, became acutely ill. Days later while hospitalized he was diagnosed with advanced liver failure and related to fatty liver disease, which had progressed to NASH (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis), and ultimately liver failure. He is expected to develop hepatic encephalopathy which is progressively altering his brain function. Unfortunately, symptoms were not discovered earlier and his disease is progressing extremely rapidly.
Funds are already needed. All money collected will be used for medical expenses related to the care of this couple. We are very thankfull for your support in this difficult time.
