Support Rowan’s Journey: Surgery & Healing for Bilateral Clubfoot
The Story
If you know our family, you know that Rowan has been a fighter since day one. Born with bilateral clubfoot, he began his journey with his first set of casts at only three weeks old. For the first two years of his life, we made the grueling weekly trek from Klamath Falls to Portland to ensure he received the best possible care.
Now, at 7 years old, Rowan’s journey has reached a critical turning point.
The Road Ahead
On April 22nd, we head back to Portland for a Gait Analysis. This specialized testing will allow doctors to see exactly how Rowan is walking and determine the next steps for his mobility. Following this, the plan becomes very intense:
Three months of casting: Rowan will require new casts every two weeks, which we will be traveling to Medford to complete.
Tendon Transfer Surgery: Once casting is finished, we will return to Portland for a major surgery to help his feet function correctly.
Why We Are Asking For Help
I have always tried my hardest to handle things on our own, but as a mom currently out of work, I am running out of options. The costs of medical travel add up quickly, and the upcoming months will be full of long drives and overnight stays.
Your donations will go directly toward:
Travel & Gas: Covering the hundreds of miles between Klamath Falls, Medford, and Portland.
Lodging: Hotel stays for surgery and specialized appointments.
Food: Sustaining our family while we are away from home for treatment.
How You Can Help
Any amount, no matter how small, makes a massive difference in getting Rowan the surgery he needs to walk without pain. If you aren't able to donate, please consider sharing this link with your friends and family.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and for being part of Rowan’s village.
With love and gratitude,
Kayla
