My class of 5th year students at Midleton College are holding a phenomenal fundraiser. Please support our fundraising efforts this week. Sponsor a rower or donate/buy baked goods. All will take place before, during, and after the Student Climate Action Conference in Midleton College, Cork. All donations will be divided between, Currumbin Wildlife Hospital at https://currumbinsanctuary.com.au/hospital and Koalas in Care Inc at http://www.koalasincare.org.au/index.htm. The funds will be donated via the Midleton College administration. We already donated all cash donations to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital ($2,208 australian dollars was donated to them on 13th January, for which we received a receipt).
The remaining online donations will be made to Koalasincare.org, which is a non-profit organisation and a registered charity run by volunteers. They have no paid employees. They rely on the kind generosity of the general public and their own fundraising to provide for the koalas that are admitted into care. This is the connection we have have to this charity. They receive no recurrent Government funding to do the work they do.
Our school administration will transfer the 'online donations' (once the withdrawal process from gofundme is finally successful) to their online website by clicking the button on the following link using PAYPAL -->

The reason for this fundraiser is to support the wildlife in particular, that have suffered at the atrocities of the recent bush-fires. We also feel a great kinship with many past pupils and colleagues who are from or have relocated to Australia in recent years. We stand with them this week in our fundraising efforts.
