2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate, a 9,5 km radius destruction, over 200 killed and more than 6,000 injured, and $4,6 billion worth of damages. These numbers reflect the events of August 4, 2020 when the explosion in the port of Beirut left a city in ruins and a community heartbroken.
Since the explosion, the state of the country has worsened with now more than half of the population living below the poverty line; continuously rising inflation rates; and countless buildings still left to be reconstructed. On top of this all, the Lebanese people have not yet been given the justice that they deserve. Tackling these challenges can only be done together. Through united action. Help us pave the way to a stronger Lebanon.

Route 3a Beirut is an initiative led by a team of students from all over the world. In cooperation with Habitat for Humanity, we will contribute to rebuilding parts of the city that have been effected by the explosion. We also hope to draw international attention once again to the challenges the country is facing. Our aim is to fundraise, raise awareness, build communities, together. To support to those who need it most.
