Hello!

We are Route 52, a dystopian student film shooting in Boston this fall. Our team mostly consists of Emerson College students, but we are an independent film, and are looking for financial contributions to make our vision a reality!

In a dystopian world where authoritarianism has taken over, a group of strangers makes the difficult journey to abandon their lives and cross the border to freedom. At its core, this is a story about grief; grieving loved ones, grieving connection, and grieving the parts of ourselves we lose without community. When capital gain is prioritized over the community's welfare, our identities are suppressed and suffocated. What parts of ourselves do we lose without connection? And how can we learn to rebuild it, once finally reaching freedom?

This story represents a hope for a better future. Wanting freedom so badly that you would risk everything for it.
