Hello! My name is Rou, I'm a 34 year old transmasc non-binary individual asking for help from the wonderful community with raising funds for my top surgery.

I have always questioned my gender identity, leading to undiagnosed/untreated gender dysphoria, and in recent years I've explored my own self expression and have truly found myself. With your help, I'd love to be able to feel at home in my body. My chest brings me great dysphoria, and with the care accessible with IM Gender Clinic, I kindly ask for your help raising funds to travel, stay, and receive treatment in Madrid.

With the lengthy NHS waiting times and unclear future for trans rights in the UK, I have chosen IM Gender Clinic in Madrid - below is a breakdown of what your contributions will help cover (see image):

Surgery - 8,990 Euros (£7,793.93)

Hotel - approx. £104 per night (5 night stay)

Travel - any extra help towards flights/trains is massively appreciated, as I will not be able to drive following the procedure.

Time off work - with being self employed and needing to take at least 6 weeks off for recovery, I cannot express enough what the generosity from your kind selves would mean to me. Every penny counts.

I cannot thank my wonderful family and friends for their support, resilience and alliance during these trying times, I am proud to take up space on this earth - and I cannot wait to feel like I am in a body that looks on the outside how I feel on the inside.
