Hi My name is Michael LeBrecht, I have been a professional photographer for 27yrs, I photographed my first Sports Illustrated cover in 2002, The Chosen One- LeBron James, I am producing and directing my first feature documentary, currently titled Rounding for Home, it follows the journey of baseball prodigy Ariel Antigua, who at 5 years old created a media frenzy by being able to hit a 85mph fastball. Appearing on ABC Late night Host, The Jimmy Kimmel show, and featured in Sports Illustrated with a 9 page spread of Ariel’s extraordinary talent. That’s when i met him and the family back in 2010, as the photographer for the article. Ariel has had unbelievable pressure put on him, not many kids can sustain that for extended periods of time, let alone almost 13 years, thats what we are approaching now, the documentary will chronicle the last year before the 2023 MLB Draft. The documentary will also highlight how Ariel was able to continue the drive through all these years, with interviews and old footage from those years. Funding is essential in bringing this incredible story to theaters and streaming services. The misfortunes of the family would have derailed anyone from continuing the pursuit of their dream, however Ariel is different, it has created even more of a drive to obtain his dream. Please help support this wonderful project, any contribution will help.
