Hello, my name is Hannah Albright, and I am raising funds for my brother and sister-in-law. Unfortunately, extreme flooding recently hit them in Eastern Kentucky. My family is originally from Whitesburg, and their store lost thousands of dollars worth of products and equipment. My brother, Benjamin Spangler, co-owns a record store with his wife, Lacy Hale. They have worked hard to help their community over the years and just had to throw away most of their life's work. The flood destroyed the sound equipment, stereos, records, record players, instrument cases, violins, guitars, clothes, and artwork. Lacy is a local artist who has painted murals in local Kentucky places such as Lexington and Jenkins, as well as many more. Their store floor is destroyed, and it will be long before they can sell their record store items or artwork again.

This is a significant cause as the Appalachian region, and local business owners are struggling greatly due to a lack of insurance, supplies, and funds. Raising money is essential to me as Ben and Lacy currently do not have power or running water at their house. This money will give them a jumpstart at starting new after this drastic hit. I have been down to Whitesburg and seen the damage myself. Funds will be used to fix the store or start over in a new place. It will also be used to buy supplies and equipment.
