Hi everyone!  On January 23rd, our dear friend and co-worker, Russell, was hit by a car in Arlington on his way to a doctor's appointment.  He was immediately rushed to GWU Hospital with a severe head injury and spent the next two weeks in ICU.  Mr. Russell being Mr. Russell (he suffered a heart attack in November and came to work anyway), has fought his way back after 2 weeks in ICU and 2 weeks in rehabilitation and is now at home resting with a home health care nurse visiting daily.  Although he is very eager to return, we don't know when he will be cleared as he had a TBI (traumatic brain injury).  He's still working on getting his cognitive functions back and re-building his strength!


As you can imagine, having been out of work for a month, Russell is now behind on rent and bills, and needs funds for groceries and transportation costs to his many doctor appoitments.  He also has many medications to pay for as we are not sure what insurance will cover.
