Round 2 Tyler and Tony's Transplant Journey

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Crystal and you guys may or may not remember me from round one of this fight against kidney failure with our son Tyler. We were blessed to raise $5300 through our first fundraiser and that carried us well to the end of August. It covered a big chunk of extra living and travel expenses for our family to make several necessary trips to Charlottesville and Christiansburg, as well as 3 more unexpected ICU hospital stays and 2 more emergency surgeries. Without the extra help we gained, we wouldn't have been able to get this far into the transplant process. We are so very grateful to every single soul that felt our need and provided.
We find ourself at that hopeless point once again. As many of you who have followed us may know, the waiting list for a kidney that matches Tyler's blood type is LONG,.. 3 years long to be exact, so as any parent watching their child suffer would do, his Dad is currently being tested for direct donation. Apparently this takes a little bit longer than we anticipated, and while most of the actual testing will be covered by Tyler's insurance, again none of our travel expenses, nor the time that he can't work is covered by anything other than love and the faith that "we will figure it out!"
So far we have done just that at every wall but we've met another challenge, one we aren't sure we can figure out in time.
In the struggle of survival mode, life & taxes have snuck right back into the fight and we are now threatened with the loss of our home to delinquent taxes. It's not something we're proud of but it's also just another thing that we've been fighting on the back burner the last couple years while all of this has been going on. The county tax lawyer has now turned up the heat and we now only have 30 days from September 18, to raise the entire delinquent amount or be sold out on the courthouse steps. They want to sell BOTH our home and our one little rental trailer for the amount due to the county on the properties... A whopping $9064. We're a little disturbed that a large portion of that huge total is lawyers' fees & filing compounded with interest on the initial delinquency We own both properties outright without any bank liens, so basically they (our county) stand to make a huge score off of our loss should we fail.
Talk about kicking someone while they're down, THIS is a prime example of IN THE TEETH
We are in a scramble. We've put about everything we own of value up for sale, but it's been slow to move thanks to our struggling economy.

And that's where I go with this last statement. If YOU, yourself are struggling, PLEASE DO NOT donate out of your love for us, your prayers are enough and we feel the love.
This fundraiser is out here hoping to find that someone that's more financially fortunate, that maybe has more money than time to donate to an immediate need. Maybe someone who has been down where we are and made it back to success. I've been so blessed in my own life that I've worked in the homes of millionaires, bumped shoulders with the stars and then sat down to eat with friends in a trailer park. My hope is along my way, that I've put enough good of myself out there into the world that I might be worthy of a little saving grace for my own little family.
