Hi everyone,
My name is Julian Davis, the proud owner of Rouge Bistro, a meat ball restaurant in the heart of Midtown. The last year, we’ve been serving up meals, warm smiles, and a space where the community can gather like family.
Running a restaurant is never easy and the past 6 years have brought challenges I couldn’t have imagined—from fighting to get a liquor license, covid, raising cost of equipment, food and labor cost. Despite it all, I've poured everything I had into keeping our doors open, our kitchen putting out high quality food and keeping staff working.
What really hurt me is not being able to obtain a city liquor license I had the state license but not the city license. After 6 years and 3 tries it never happened for me just depending on selling food.
It was not Midtown as a whole, but the city allowed 4 individuals, their friends and their tenets to discourage the community from supporting me.
There were lies thrown around the I was a drug dealer and opening up a night club.
Now, I'm reaching out for your support.
I'm raising $958,160.00 to help me cover the mountains debt I have occurred, from credit card debt, owing venders, 2 lines of credit that are maxed out and personal loans from friends and family that believed in me. I looked into chapter 11 but didn't know that cost was as much as it is, the lawyers that I reached out to have been all in the same price range. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to my goal and helps me save my relationship with vendors and everyone I owe to keep the doors open to maybe up another location with a fresh start.
