ITU World Triathlon Championships

As many of you may know, I recently received word from USA Triathlon/Team USA that as a result of the time I earned at the National Championships in Omaha, Nebraska this past summer (2016), I earned a roll-down spot on TEAM USA for the ITU (International Triathlon Union) Draft Legal Sprint Triathlon World Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands - September 14-17, 2017! 

I began this crazy journey of triathlon in 2012 at the Blue Lake Triathlon on a borrowed bike and just having learn to "swim" (for tri's). I fell in love with the sport and now here I am! This is an incredible opportunity and I want to embrace it as I never know if it will come again. 

I have priced the cost for this trip and am asking my community of friends if they can help support me in this journey in any way - $1, $5, $10. Anything will help ease the cost of coming up with the funds for this trip in such a short period of time. Here is what my cost breakdown is:

Flight (round trip) - $1000
Hotel - $1200
Rental Car - $500

I plan to take care of my own food, registration fees, entertainment, etc. I simply need help to get there and back :) ! 

I am so humbled and excited to be able to have this opporunity! I am hoping to be able to bring my hubby along with me...we'll see how this goes!
