The Reach Out and Touch Prison Ministry is dedicated to bringing the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to those behind prison walls.
We rejoice to see men and women turn their lives around and be reunited with their family, society and their Savior as a result of our ministry.
Our vision is to continue to grow the ministry and further impact the NYC and NYS correctional system while expanding our mission into full re-entry services. To do so we must secure larger office space and hire more staff which is why we are seeking your assistance in our fundraising campaign
We do not simply preach the Gospel and leave but have substantial interactions and discipleship with the man and women that we serve. ROTPM's multi-faceted approach to ministry includes:
1) Services 5 times a month at three different facilities on Rikers Island where dozens of men and women are accepting their Savior monthly
2) A Bible Study Correspondence Program where nearly 600 men and women have enrolled. Our program is in all 9 jails on Rikers Island, 50 out of the 54 NYS facilities as well as facilities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas
3) Certificates of Participation and Certificates of Completion for completed bible study series
4) One-on-one mentoring to men and women on Rikers Island preparing to transition back into their communities
5) Regular discipleship through correspondance with the men and women that we serve
6) Referral Services to organizations who provide transitional and re-entry programs to those who are returning to their communities. We also provide continued moral and spiritual support
7) Bibles and Christian living literature are provided at all services and upon request of inmates

There are approx 10,000 men and women incarcerated on Rikers Island at any given time and approx 54,000 in upstate prisons. ROTPM desires to touch and transform each and every one of them .
