Rototiller repair

My BCS 722 tiller has been helping me with sustainable and community agriculture since 2004. In this time I have tilled acres upon acres for many organizations and schools to have gardens. Highlights include the Sanchez Farm in Albuquerque, the Parr Field Garden Project and Chrysalis Garden in Taos, and of course ongoing maintenance of our Sol Feliz Farm in Taos. Through these projects I have mentored dozens of young aspiring farmers, hosted many workshops for hundreds of students on our farm, and fed hundreds of students food that they planted, cared for, harvested, and prepared. The success of these projects depended on my knowledge, seed, and the ability to work the land with my BCS tiller, cutter bar, and hiller/furrower.
It turns out my tiller needs a new gasket, engine, tiller tines, and an improved PTO extension along with other minor upgrades to keep it running so I can continue my work. The estimate from Santa Fe Power Equipment is over $1300. Any extra funds will be used to replace tool handles and other needs our non-profit AIRE has to conduct workshops.
I have an incredible vision and huge potential but am limited by equipment and funding that allows implementation at a larger scale. The acquisition and maintenance of tools (appropriate technology) is central to the efficiency and success of completing our mission "To Gather the People and Plant the Fields." Thank you for considering to support our cause, we look forward to the chance to inspire you with our work...
