Supporting the Roth Family
Donation protected
Gentry Roth is a dedicated husband, father, and friend. We have been lucky to be neighbors and friends with him and his wonderful family. He is very generous and always wants to help people whenever he can. Now he needs our help.

What Happened?
On July 4th, Gentry was having trouble walking even just a few feet, and had to go to the emergency room where he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He has been suffering from a compromised immune system and severely compromised lungs for several years. When he arrived, they had to assume he had Covid 19. However, all of the tests came back negative.
It seemed like he was improving on July 5th except he was still having some difficulty breathing. The next day his condition started to worsen. They did more tests, including another test for Covid-19, and everything came back negative. Then on July 7th he went on a ventilator. They didn't know why he wasn’t improving.
On July 11th, he was still in the ICU. He was off the ventilator but still required a lot of support to help him breathe. However, he was breathing easier, less agitated, and sleeping a lot.
On July 14th, he was life-flighted from Portland to the University of Washington in Seattle. They are keeping him for a possible lung transplant. He hasn’t improved enough for one yet.
They think that he has an uncommon or untreatable virus. That virus gave him pneumonia which then caused massive inflammation in his lungs. It is a scary time.
How Can You Help?
The Roth family needs immediate financial support. Gentry has a long road to recovery. If he is able to get the lung transplant, they would need to stay in Seattle for 3-6 months. All contributions are greatly appreciated and will help to alleviate any financial burdens (medical expenses, travel, food, lodging, and lost income) his loving family incur at this difficult time.

About Gentry
In the time I have known Gentry, I have been impressed by his generosity and friendliness toward others. He was a regular volunteer in Ulani’s classroom and also helped with school fundraising. He was always willing to help a kid home from the bus stop or just chat about the weather. He is a good friend, supportive husband and loving father.
