Operation Purple Spider
Donation protected
Ben is incredibly proud and honored to serve in the Israeli Defense Forces.
Contrary to popular belief (most likely because of media coverage of "Iron Dome" technology and other high-tech accomplishments) soldiers raise money from family and friends to pay for many of their provisions.
This is why Ben is reaching out to friends and family to raise money for his unit, Rotem, in the Givati Brigade.
A donation of as little as $18 (the Hebrew number representing life) can make a huge improvement for a soldier's comfort and protection.

Of course, if you have it in your heart to donate even more, Ben and his fellow soldiers would be incredibly grateful.
These photos were taken a few days ago in the city of Shechem, in what many describe as the West Bank, where he is now based for the remainder of his service, which will be completed in February of 2016.
