Raising It For Ross Kritz

Ross is 20 years old and recently had an accident on a pit bike (a mini-motorcycle) May 6, 2017. He went to the hospital to get stitches in his finger, a minor injury from a seemingly minor fall off of a small motorbike.


While waiting his turn in the ER Ross began experiencing extreme pain in his abdomen. After a CT scan it was determined to be a severely bruised pancreas. He was taken by ambulance to Froedtert and underwent exploratory surgery. His pancreas was actually torn not just bruised. He was hooked up to several draining tubes and a feeding tube.

After 37 days in the hospital and 3 surgeries later, he has finally been able to come home. He is looking forward to getting off of the feeding tube, but he has to gain back at least 20 of the 30 pounds he has lost by not being able to eat solid food.

He will not be able to return to work for at least three weeks. His loss of wages and mounting medical bills are the reason we are raising money for Ross. His medical bills for just the hospital stay exceed $125,000. He has yet to receive all the bills for the physicians and surgeries. He has 2 more shots to get to help the pancreas heal. The shots cost $13,000 each, and the pills he needs to take for the rest of his life will cost $800 per month. We recently were told that the hole he has in the pancreas will never heal. We are very thankful that he will lead a relatively normal life, but we want to help him pay his medical bills. Please donate: Let’s raise it for Ross!
