Ross Allman's Treatment Fund

On April 1, 2014, Ross completed what was thought to be his last radiation treatment for prostate cancer after a diagnosis in 2013.  After a few years of good health, and almost 3 years to do the day of that last treatment, it was discovered that the cancer had returned. Due to previous treatments and scar tissue, Ross's physician, Dr. Cohen, determined the best course of action is a highly aggressive treatment, involving Proton Therapy.  HIFU is not covered by health insurance.  The cost of this treatment is $25,000 and we are asking for help to cover medical expenses and possible time lost from work while fighting this disease.  We are hoping to raise this amount over the next 6 months if not sooner.  
Ross grew up in Pittsburgh and entered the Air Force and served as a volunteer fireman in the borough of Dravosburg, before moving to Orlando in the early 1970s.  Ross and his wife Cathy have called the Conway area of Orlando home for over 40 years.  Ross has served his community volunteering for the South Orlando Soccer Club as a coach and Board Member for over a decade.  He has also served as a leader in the state and central Florida Roofing Industry.  Ross is loved by many people, including his daughters, Amy, Wendy, Callie, son-in-law, David, grandchildren, Ruby, Eva & Jack, as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.  He has never met a stranger and loves to have a laugh.
