Ross' Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
To all of our Peeps on Facebook, Instagram, Snap Chat,
My name is Brenda Harakas. I am writing on behalf of my son, Ross Scofield. As you all know that follow us, Ross has been battling cancer for two years now. He was diagnosed with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma in July of 2020. He went through Chemo at Penn University for six months and became cancer-free. Then six months later, the cancer returned. So, in July of 2021, he started a trial chemo, in pill form, from Dr. Mathew Matasar at the Kettering Sloan Cancer Center in New York.
Those who know me or my son know what kind of people we are. We are the first ones that will come to bat for anyone that needs to make it home. We are kind, almost to a fault, especially to those in need. Ross has worked hard through his treatments, being sick at work, tired, and scared, but still managed to trudge on without a complaint. He has tried to mask his pain with a smile and has made it work until the end. Unfortunately, on Monday, March 21, 2022, Ross was admitted to the hospital with Compartment syndrome. His left leg was affected. He will be out of work for quite some time and need months of physical thearpy.
I am doing a “GO FUND ME” for Ross, so he doesn’t have to worry financially for the months that he is down. The fund will help him with his bills, so he doesn’t have to stress, just get well.
I am also asking for all the prayers and good vibes to go along with all the help you can give.
When Ross is in recovery, whatever is left over will be donated to the Lymphoma Society.
We want to thank you all for your help at this time of need.
Sincerely Yours,
Brenda Harakas
