On Saturday, November 11, 2023, the world lost a genuine soul too son. Ross Anderson/Roscoe/The Mayor of Mencarelli/Nosredna was many things: An amazing dad to his two kids Morgan and Murray, a phenomenal husband to his wife Elaine, a forever supportive and protective brother to his younger sister Kelly and a caring son to his parents Donna and Bill. The ultimate family man, Ross would fin every possible way to talk about things his kids were up to. From updating Facebook on Murray’s whereabouts on the cruise ship where he was employed, posting videos of him playing music or finding new gear for his recordings, Ross was his biggest fan and supporter. He loved telling people about his daughter, Morgan, in Winnipeg, even if he didn't always fully understand what her MSc research entailed, Ross would find every way to show the world how proud of her he was. Ross was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart Elaine, day in and out, from their daily rituals to making sure she was always loved and supported no matter what. Soulmates from the start, their relationship was one their kids will always cherish and strive to achieve. He was the best pet dad to his beloved dog Tilley and cats Monty and Willow. Even when they would keep him up all night, he would always greet them with pets and a smile.

Ross had the exceptional ability to bring people together. He always found a way to stay connected with people whether it be running into an old hockey or soccer teammate from Saunders or any of the many leagues he played in, reaching out to a virtual friend he made through gaming over the years or checking in with people when they needed a friend; Ross was always there. Ross was always putting others first. He would do everything he could to help others when in need. He created his neighbourhood charity, the "Ross Wildlife Fund", which uses the neighbours' LCBO bottle returns to fund the needs of the local critters. Ross was an avid supporter of the local cat shelter CARA, making sure they always had the supplies they needed. His support went further than the furry creatures. He was so many people's "go-to-guy". Have car problems? Need technology tips? Want a beer recommendation? Ross knew a guy, who knew another guy, who could help you out, but he often was "the guy.”

People like Ross are rare. While his time was cut short, his memories will forever live on through the many people he impacted throughout his life. Out goal for this fund is to help his family give him the proper send-off he deserved, while still allowing them to support the causes he loved so much. All additional proceeds will be directed to Elaine, Morgan and Murray to assist them during these dark times. You were so loved Ross and will forever be missed.
