Ross family devastated by house fire

On Friday November 24, 2023 a freak accident fire started in the kitchen of a home in Maple Ridge. This fire affected a family of 6 Shannon, Grant, Shannon’s mom, her brother and her two small kids,and their beloved dog. Thankfully, everyone was able to make it out safe. Unfortunately due to damages that affected the kitchen and living room, the family is misplaced for the foreseeable future. Although the family does have rental insurance, this does take some time to come into effect. I know that it’s so close to Christmas, and everyone is having a tough time right now but anything you may be able to donate to help this family is truly appreciated.

A special thank you to the Maple Ridge fire department that was on scene within 5 minutes, and took the time to retrieve some items for the kids & mom who is a nursing student heading into finals within the next couple weeks. Another thank you to the incredible neighbours who brought out hot coffee, snacks, blankets, jackets and helped entertain the kids while mom & dad tried to figure out the next steps.
