Rosmeri Melgar, 54 years old, has suffered from epilepsy since she was 2 years old. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that causes recurrent episodes of seizures associated with abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family. She loves the family get-togethers where she can hold all the babies and be the first to laugh at every joke. She is truly the brightest light in a room.

Now, because of this debilitating disorder, she needs 24/7 care. She has recently lost the ability to speak, walk, and eat on her own. Her primary caregiver is Grecia Melgar, her 23-year-old daughter. She has recently quit her job to be able to care for her mother. This money will be used to pay for medical necessities, food, medicine, hospital bills, and rent.
