The Story

The year is 1943, amidst WWII, and Rose Donnelly works as a riveter in an aviation factory. Rose decides to stand up to her boss, Dave, about the mistreatment of the women in her workplace. Meanwhile, she’s befriending the artist commissioned to design posters for the factory, James Howard Miller.

The Purpose

The “Real Rosies” of WWII had a huge impact on our society. Thanks to their fearless efforts, women today strive to enter the workforce in many industries previously deemed a “man’s world”.

With this film we want to share these Real Rosies stories by creating a character based on their strength and real experiences. We hope to honor their bravery, and inspire future generations of working women through Rosie the Riveter!

The Project

Our story takes place in a WWII aviation factory, Rose’s family home, and may even include a jivin’ dance number. It is very important we recreate 1943 as authentically as possible.

What We Need:

Planes
Tools
Machinery
Costumes
Locations
Actors
Makeup & Hair Stylists
Music Licensing

… to name a few.

How can we acquire all of these things to tell Rosie’s story right?

JOIN OUR TEAM

We need YOU to join the Rosie Team and help us turn our vision into a reality!

With your financial support comes many fun rewards that will help bring you into the filmmaking process. We’re also keeping everyone up-to-date on the movie's progress through our social media!

One way you can help bring Rosie to the big screen is to DONATE. Any amount can make a HUGE difference. $5 could buy Rosie's bandana. $15 feeds a crew member lunch for the day. $150 helps us pay our actors. $1,500 could get us a professional casting director, or even a plane!

Another way to help is by SHARING this page with your friends and family! The larger our community outreach, the stronger our team can be.
