The worst thing I could imagine happened to me and RoRo yesterday...I was pulling my car forward in the drive way and suddenly heard her cry in pain. She had somehow gotten under the rear tire then pulled herself out and ran. I scooped her up and we took her to the vet and then ER right away. First round of x-rays showed a detached tail above her pelvis (lower end of the spinal column) so she saw a neurologist. She did not sustain nerve tearing and she is walking. Her tail will need to be removed as it is "dead" and likely her left ankle will need repair. She is in a cast for now and at home medicated and resting until I get her into see a surgeon. The surgery estimate is $5000-$6000 and I'm asking for help from all of Rosie's "fans" out there.  As many of you know you have to pay for vet bills at time of service. The xrays, meds, hospital care, anesthesia, monitoring and aftercare.  I'm not in a position to afford this on my own and would truly appreciate any help, even just a few dollars.
