Rosie’s Second Surgery: Your Help Counts
Donation protected
Hello friends,
As some may know, in the spring of 2024 our sweet Rosie ruptured her CCL in her left hindleg (similar to the ACL in humans) and required a surgery equivalent to a total knee replacement. Unfortunately, just weeks ago in May 2025 while playing in our back yard, Rosie ruptured her opposite CCL in her right hindleg. We knew after the first time that this was always going to be possibility, but in such a young, healthy, and active dog we never anticipated that this would happen so soon -- not quite a year after the first rupture.
Rosie is scheduled for her second TPLO surgery in late June 2025. Just like last year, the estimated cost for this procedure is around $4,000 and we can truly use all the help we can get. We had only just begun to recover financially from last year's vet bills, and we were not prepared for this injury to follow so soon after the last.
Please share this fundraiser, and please contribute whatever you can. Rosie is only 6 years old, completely healthy, and has so much life to live yet. Friends of Rosie know that she is a big lover who excels in zoomies, fetch, swimming, and lounging in the sunshine. She made an outstanding recovery from last year's surgery and we are confident that after this procedure she will live out the rest of her life in comfort, and more active than ever.
