This is my best friend/cousin Rosalinda Bueno-Martinez, known to many of us as Rosie. On Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 she lost her battle with Leukemia. Not once, twice but three times was she hospitalized because of this disease. She had been battling this since her childhood. At the age of 14 she went into remission and lived a joyful life until 2012 when the cancer recurred at the age of 28. She was in the hospital for months getting treated with chemo and after those long months she went into remission again. October of this year Rosie was having complications and went to the hospital where they admitted her once again for Leukemia. Unfortunately, this time she just couldn’t fight anymore.
If you knew Rosie or even met her once you’d NEVER know that she was going through the things she was. She was constantly laughing, smiling, living life to the fullest, working hard, being a provider as well as being a best friend to many of us. She was loyal to the soil, she never wished harm on anyone but she also was a protector. We all have become one big family and we all are saddened by this terrible loss. No one is ever prepared for the loss of a family member let alone the expense of a funeral and all that comes with losing a loved one. I’ve set up this account on behalf of the Martinez-Bueno family who only want their angel to be laid to rest. It’s not like our family to ask for anything (especially money) but we need all the help we can possibly get right now to give Rosie a proper burial. If anyone is able to donate even the smallest amount, we would forever be grateful.
As of today, we plan to lay her to rest on 11/8/2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn: 1500 E. San Antonio Drive in Long Beach, CA. Therefore, we ask if you can please help us meet our goal by 11/7/2016. We would appreciate if you can please help spread the word, help share this link to as many friends and family that you know. We (the family) thank everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers for the family and any amount donated. May you and your family be blessed, always.
