Roshan's big move!

I have both amazing news and a difficult situation I'm dealing with. I landed an amazing job opportunity in Fairfax, VA to join the George Mason University Libraries, and continue my work with instructional librarianship and critical information literacy. This is both so exciting, for lots of professional and personal reasons, and feels like it is financially going to be a big stretch.

I have already dug deep and asked for a lot of assistance in my survival from my community, and so many generous and kind people have helped me with this transition period after losing my graduate assistantship, earning my Master's degree, and moving out of my house. I know this is a tall ask, but I am hoping this fundraiser can help me be in the negative for the first few months in a new state. Think of this as a donation to help me succeed, instead of a donation to help me barely survive.

Moving is always expensive, no matter what, but I am moving to a higher cost of living area (Triangle NC to Northern VA/DMV area) and will need support to pay a rental security deposit, pay the first month of rent, and buy myself a mattress and bed frame.
