Due to the recent closure of the Rosevilla Restaurant in Ormond Beach, FL, their current employees have not been getting paid salary or tips. They have worked without pay for the past three weeks. The restaurant was shut down due to electrical issues, among other management and staffing issues, two weeks ago. The employees were asked to come back for a reopening, with pay promised, but this pay never occurred. They were promised to be paid this Friday, August 28th, a week past their biweekly pay schedule. This Friday, employees logged into the pay portal, only to find that it had been shut down, and without the funds that were supposed to be allocated to them. There has been no communication from management or the owner regarding the pay that these employees were promised.
Many of these employees were already working paycheck to paycheck, to pay for food, bills, healthcare, and transportation. Without pay, many are struggling to make rent payments and provide for themselves or their family. Many are even looking at the possibility of eviction or missing healthcare for their newborn baby. We ask that you spread this information to your family and friends. If you are able to donate any amount, all amounts are appreciated to offset the payments that the employees were never given for their hard work. The doors to Rosevilla have now been locked, giving those who were working there nowhere to look.
The amounts donated will be evenly divided among all employees who were directly impacted from the Rosevilla closing.
