Rose's Wirral Walk for Elsie's Moon

July is upon us and for my birthday fundraiser this year, I'm joining a team of incredible women to raise money for a very special charity, Elsie's Moon .

Elsie's Moon is there for when pregnancy doesn't go to plan and boy did ours go off-script. From learning we were having twins to shortly after learning we would only be bringing one home, Elsie's Moon supported us with a very special, bespoke session to prepare us for what was to come on Delivery Day. A specialist midwife created an antenatal class especially for our circumstances, which meant delivering one baby kicking and screaming, and another sleeping.

That's how Elsie's Moon touched our lives and I will always be grateful for the emotional but strengthening day we had preparing for Hector and Aurora's birth. I can't believe Hector is now bum shuffling around on the floor as I type, and I think of his sister every day and accept I'll feel the loss every day for the rest of my life. But that's why Elsie's Moon is so important. They get it. And I want to give back by raising some money to pay forward some of the care I received from Lindsey and the team last year.
