Roses for Missy: Support Grieving Kids
Donation protected
A social cause I’ve always found myself at the forefront of is childhood grief. Anyone who knows my story knows that I am a product of such, and have always wanted to find a way to give back to children who have endured the loss of a parent or significant loved one as I did. With that, the journey from counselor to NPO operator is just beginning.
I am so excited to share with everyone that as of November 2024, my business, Roses for Missy Inc. is now a nonprofit in the state of Michigan. For #GivingTuesday2024, and for the foreseeable future, I would love to start raising funds to begin the next steps of this amazing chapter: a means to not only give back but to honor my mother’s legacy. RFM will be both a mental health service as well as recreational center for children in the city of Detroit, who are experiencing grief and loss. The focus is to provide a well-rounded system of support, that can help them excel through their grief journey and provide them with the necessary tools needed to succeed in life. Grief is lifelong, and those of us who have experienced it as children know that it can be difficult to navigate without the correct resources.
Whatever you decide to give will be beneficial to the creation of Roses for Missy and beyond. I’ll be sure to include you in the next steps as we grow and begin to operate as a fully functional grief resource and recreational center. I thank you deeply for your support.
