Meet the Writer/Director:

My name is Xavier Deacon and I am I am the writer/director of this romantic drama and I am looking forward to seeing where this takes me and the amazing team on this exciting journey!

I've always wanted to make a short film in a café, especially early on in my film journey, as there as been many iconic scenes based in a café's across film history and I think it's a fun opportunity to make my own version in this setting.

My aim is to create an engaging film where the characters are not on the same page, but you understand both sides whilst the characters are going through a struggle. Despite all of the discourse there is still something there, whether it's love, hope or a mutual understanding. There is a connection but they don't know how to overcome this difficult period.

As the film takes place inside a controlled environment, I would really like the lighting and look of the film to be as elevated as possible, to make it look consistent when it comes to the overall appearance and feel of the film. I also want to strive for a film that is real and human, something the audience can feel that they are a part of.

Film Overview:

Elliot and Annabelle have been going through a challenging time. Struggling with their feelings and emotions, not knowing where to go from here with their relationship. Lost within themselves realizing things aren't what they used to be, at the lowest point Elliot has arranged a meetup in a café to make amends. When Annabelle arrives he notices something is off, not realizing it would be the last time they would look into one another’s eyes.
