After 50-years the Rosebud Tree is beginning to lose a little twinkle. Time and weather have made the once grand tree into a mess of duct tape, frayed wires, and missing bulbs. It is time to put the TWINKLE back into our community's tree!
For decades, friends, neighbors, and family knew the holidays had arrived in Central Texas when the 100' tree was lit at night. People see the tree for miles around as it reminds us of Christmas past and the reason for the season!
Help save the tree! It may be impossible, due to safety concerns, to light the tree this Christmas.
WIth your help, we will light the tree this year and ensure that it stands for our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Community volunteers are attempting to raise $15,000 to put new lights on the tree, rehabilitate the star on top, ensure the electricity is safe, and secure the tree tower from vandals and children.
Project Twinkle Tree is being organized by the Town Square Community Foundation, Rosebud 20/20, DLW Law, PLLC, and M6 Oil Field Equipment.
