Roseberry Primary and Nursery School is situated in the village of Newfield in County Durham. We have an award-winning play provision in our playgrounds and school field that we have worked hard to develop over a number of years. The children adore playing outside and we try to provide as many activities as we can all year round. We’ve had many donations from our community over the years that have all helped us to win a Platinum OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) award.

We have been devastated to discover that someone has broken into our school field and completely destroyed many of our play resources including the mud kitchen, mini golf course, play baths, fire pit, digging and sand pit toys and our storage boxes. They have also stolen all of our children’s golf clubs.

Our OPAL team have worked tirelessly over the years to build something special and to see it all mindlessly destroyed has been heartbreaking for us and the children.

We are asking for donations from our community to help us rebuild this special area. Any amount is welcome, no matter how small. Everything is greatly appreciated

We are determined to recover from this as quickly as possible to give our children the playtimes they deserve.
