My name is Annemieke.
I live on 120 acres on the Far South Coast in a little village called Wyndham in NSW Australia.
Here I have a business, called "Rosebank Produce" growing edible flowers, micro greens, herb  garnishes and foraged gourmet foods to chefs at our local restaurants.
On New Years Eve, our village had to evacuate from a bush  fire  on Myrtle Mountain .
Other fires were slowly coming up from the victorian border, with another approaching from the other side.  With constant uncertainties of weather changes and fires  close by, on and off we had to evacuate and  were only allowed to come home now and Then. For over a month period, I  evacuated five times, then going camping in my tent close by the beach..in constant fear of fire coming through Rosebank.
On February 1, the fire raged through my valley, and burnt my whole property. It knocked down everything.
The RFS were able to save my little cabin, that I unfortunately emptied out of some furnishings, for a Tennant to rent out in January,
I  am lucky that I still have a little cabin survived to live in after my home burnt down.
I lost all my other outer buildings, and a lot of home contents that I wasn’t insured high enough for.
I should be able to rebuild my house again, but to have what I once had, is gone. I didn’t take up farm insurance or a business insurance and the donations what is given by societies would hardly pay for replacements.
My business has suffered, while I was evacuating, I was unable to care for the gardens, or harvest what went into seed, and then, I had no income.
The fire destroyed my shed, with machinery, tools and equipment, water tank and all irrigation pipes, a brand new petrol pump, hundreds of brand new planting pots, my green house, solar panels and fencing, huge fencing around my property..3 cattle yards, chicken coop, all my packing containers for produce etc gone, and so much more.
this would cost more then the $40,000 I am asking for donation, but this will help me get a long way ahead.
My biggest loss were my animals. 2 precious cows, 25 chickens and Flaurian my peacock that I don’t know if he made it.
To my family, friends and supporters. I am asking shyly, that I would be so grateful for any money you would like to help me with, no matter how small it is..it may buy me a hammer, a star picket, a screwdriver, or a chicken, whatever, but all these small things I need add up, and at the moment I’m looking after my needs, for which I just bought a washing machine, and a oven, to try to get back to normal. My cabin needs heating and renovation and a compost toilet, to make it livable for me. So much to get back again. My first needs would be to buy pots for micro greens and seedling and water trays,, and some garden tools.
I’d be grateful for anything..to help me get back on my feet.
