Roseanne’s Fresh Start After Prison

I grew up in Spokane, Washington, raised by parents who struggled with addiction. Despite the challenges, I always tried to stay strong and not let my circumstances define me. At sixteen, I began a long relationship with my first boyfriend, who was undocumented. We spent many years together, and when we tried to help him get his papers, he got into trouble and was sent back to his home country. Losing him was heartbreaking, and I turned to drugs to cope, which led me down a difficult path.

Eventually, I found myself in prison, but it was there that my life began to change. Through many programs and meeting God, I learned valuable tools to help me succeed outside of prison. I was released on September 3, 2025, and spent 60 to 90 days on a monitor. In my first month out, I got a job and was released from monitoring early. Now, I am involved with two prison ministries and work almost every day, determined to come out on top.

Even with all this progress, my living situation makes it hard to save for a car, and I rely on rides to get to work. I am proud of how far I've come—clean, sober, and holding down a job—but I need help to keep moving forward. If anyone can open their heart and support me, it would mean the world. Your kindness will help me cover essential bills and work towards reliable transportation, giving me the stability I need to build a better future.
