Rose vs. Cancer; Round 2
Donation protected
Hi everybody, as many of you know, my mom, Rose, was diagnosed with Cancer again. Her first round was 22 years ago in the form of Hodgkins lymphoma. Clearly she kicked cancers butt the first time, and now she's being challenged to do it again.

This time, the diagnosis is 'Light Chain Multiple Myeloma'. It's a blood cancer that mostly effects the bones as it has tried to take over her bone marrow (where blood is made, which is why, it's still a blood cancer) and left all of her bones, including her spine and ribs holy and brittle, and greatly reduced her kidney function. She has already had all the radiation she can have between the two rounds of cancer treating a tumor on the spine this round, and is currently on chemo treatment. Each round of chemo is 3 weeks, and they are thinking she'll need 6 rounds total. The good news is that as she goes through more chemo, she should actually start feeling BETTER! And there is a medication that she will get to strengthen her bones over the next several months and years, so she won't lose her way of life on the farm and with her grandkids!! This cancer is not curable, but it is treatable. Doctors say she has 5-10 years with it, and the outliers live up to 20 years, which if you know Rose, you know she has a higher probability than most of reaching that outlier time!
Luckily, insurance will cover most medical costs, but the property still needs kept up, and there are always unexpected costs such as gas for the twice weekly drive to Seattle, and comfort care items like a TV for her bedroom so she can rest up and get some of those healing grandkids snuggles (see the first picture!)
We are so very greatful to have such a wonderful team supporting all of moms healing efforts and surrounding her with endless love! Thank you for any support you can give whether it be monetary or prayers, we appreciate everything!
Much love, Rose's Warriors
