Our names are Irene & Jana-- we are Rose Umipig's daughters.

Rose is a mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend to so many people and unfortunately, we have some unexpected news to share about her. In December 2022, our family received news that she had been diagnosed with stage-2 breast cancer and due to the aggressive nature of her cancer, she underwent surgery shortly after. This has caused our family to come together to support our Mom as she battles cancer and undergoes the necessary treatments to survive this diagnosis.

In the next 5-months, she will undergo chemotherapy, followed by radiation and amidst the process of these medical treatments our family is confronted with the shifts in the day-to-day needs of someone healing from a life-threatening illness. Life in the upcoming months has to be turned upside down and so much has to be looked at that maybe was not before, including daily support that can help our mom to focus on staying strong, nourished, and taken care of during this process. This can include medical and non-medical costs that have come unexpectedly.

We've received prayers, well wishes, and so many people in our mom's life have asked how they can support her. As we move through the daily needs that are arising we turn to community and family for support with healing, rehabilitation, living and life sustaining needs for our mom, Rose Umipig.

Rose is one of the most resilient, strong-willed, and humble people--and she has a love to give and care for others. Through prayer, family, community, and positivity from all of us, we want her to feel cared for and supported through this healing journey. We humbly receive anything that can be offered for support during this time.
