Pet loss. Eviction. Bankruptcy.

Rose was welcomed home on 27 February 2016, a rescue cat moved to Seattle Area Feline (SAFe) Rescue in response to the winter wildfires in California. She immediately bonded with me and was my emotional support companion, seeing me through almost a decade of depression and emotional dysfunction.

She passed on 9 October 2025 from sudden and aggressive lung cancer.

She was only twelve.

I have been unemployed for over two years. I’m facing eviction, filing bankruptcy, and have over a thousand dollars in veterinary bills alone, including her in-home final service.

I am desperate, scared, and in the deepest grief I have ever experienced.
