help rose get facial feminization surgery !!!

hi friends!! : ) my name is rose zinnia & i'm fundraising for my facial feminization surgery (FFS) — a vital gender affirming surgery for me!

i'm really excited to get this surgery but i need help covering associated costs!! the surgery date is october 4th, 2023, so, it's soon approaching (!) i just got word that my insurance finally pre-authorized the surgery (yay!), but unfortunately, my job situation does not provide me with enough money to make this happen myself, so i am reaching out to my beloved community! anything you are able to donate would go a long way and be so cherished <3

what is FFS / why?

this is a huge (!) surgery for me as it will help me feel immensely more comfortable in my face by reducing (& hopefully eliminating) the remains of my gender dysphoria in the most outward presenting element of my gender. as a nonbinary trans woman almost 4 years into her transition, hormone replacement therapy has feminized my face to a degree, but this surgery will target structural areas that HRT cannot alter. my FFS is with Dr. Pang at Align Surgical (a talented & wonderful surgeon/person) and will include a constellation of facial surgeries (nose, brow, chin & jaw countering, lip lift, eyes, etc) that will feminize and soften my facial features. i am so excited for this surgery and know it will be a real game changer in so many ways for my life! since transitioning, my life has bloomed in ways i never could have imagined and your support here will mean so much.

what will this gofundme go towards?

thankfully, my surgery has recently been approved by insurance! so most of the costs will go toward traveling to and staying in the bay area from oct 1-oct 20th. i will have to stay in SF for two weeks after my surgery in order to attend post-operative appointments. funds will also go toward helping me pay bills in recovery when i cannot work for 2 months. here is the breakdown:

any extra funds raised beyond the goal will go toward any unforeseen and unexpected costs that might come up: accomodating my caretaker(s) travel and other costs, toward supporting me through recovery as i am unable to work for 2 months (october 1-december 1), & toward any other gender affirming care costs!!
