Rose Eiholzer Medical Expense

Donation protected
On Sunday March 17th, Rose thought she might have the flu. She felt a bit better Monday, so she worked that day, but things got worse that night. Tuesday she drove herself to the emergency room, where they kept her for tests and observation. By Wednesday evening (3/20) they had determined that she had a perforated colon, along probable abdominal infections as a result. She had surgery that evening to perform a a (hopefully) reversible colostomy and clean out three places of bacterial infection. The doctor told her that had she waited any longer, the situation would likely have been fatal.

Rose was discharged on Tuesday (3/26) and has been able to stay with friends until she is able to return to her apartment (and her beloved cats).

We’ve all heard  of someone experiencing an unexpected medical situation that was devastating to their  finances, and that is exactly what Rose is facing. She KNOWS there will be significant copays for her care, and although she will be on long-term disability, it only pays 70-80% of what she earns as a phlebotomist. What savings she has will quickly be exhausted.

We are asking you to consider how YOU can come alongside Rose to offer your  financial support in her time of need. No amount is too small and, should you choose, you can give anonymously.  We are starting this campaign at $10,000 but as we learn more of Rose’s need we will adjust it accordingly.

Thanks!
