Hey friends and familia,

It’s almost time for another stepping stone in my gender affirming medical journey, and I’m asking for your support.

It’s wild to think about how much my quality of life has improved since my first surgery in May 2017. I had come out as trans 12 years before that and didn’t have access to the healthcare I so desperately needed. I was honestly quite miserable in my body most of the time. I eventually moved to California, got on MediCal, and with the help of Lyon Martin, I took my first steps towards bodily liberation. Turns out I do deserve to feel good in this mortal vessel I call home. Eight years later, I’m gearing up for my 3rd gender affirming surgery, and I can’t wait to see what life will be like on the other side!

I’ve been on the wait list w/ this surgeon for over a year, and now my procedure date is just around the corner (11/24/2025). So I’m casting a wide net asking for community support.

I am in need of financial assistance to help me get through the post-op recovery process, and to offset some of my medical expenses, since health insurance doesn’t cover everything. After surgery, I can’t work for 4 weeks. But, even after I am able to physically go back, I may need to be working less hours if I’m not fully recovered.

Donations collected will go towards 1 month of basic cost of living (rent, groceries, utility bills, etc) and surgery expenses. This will ensure I am able to heal without having to worry about survival.

I know there’s already so much happening in the world, and a lot of us are struggling (myself included), so if you aren’t able to contribute financially, I totally understand. Perhaps you can share my fundraiser with your social network or light a candle for me on 11/24?
