Hi! For those of you who don't know me very well, my name is Rosa, and I recently graduated from SILSA High School in Asheville, NC. I am fortunate to have been accepted into an incredible gap year program for this upcoming fall with an organization called Carpe Diem Education in which I will be spending two months in Central America, focusing on Sustainability and Spanish Immersion with a small group of students and two supervisors. I will be spending my time in Costa Rica and Guatemala earning college credits and studying sustainability by actively participating in service projects such as green building and reforestation. College credits will include Spanish Language Immersion and Travel class, Introduction to Social/Cultural Anthropology, and Colonialization and Western Interference.

I am strongly considering a career that incorporates sustainability and multicultural understanding, and this program is the perfect foundation on which to build my future. However, I can’t do it alone! I am reaching out for financial support to help me afford this amazing opportunity.
