With the help of my fellow teachers, I’m starting this GoFundMe page on behalf of Rosalinda Rodriguez McGarrah. Rosie was battling cancer and developed unexpected complications. She passed on June 18, 2023, at the age of 48. Our goal is to help her three young children by raising funds to cover the funeral expenses.

Many of us first met Rosie just after her husband had passed in 2015, at the age of 42. He had been in the U.S. military and served in Afghanistan, Somalia, and Iraq. She was raising their three children that had been born while her husband was serving, twin daughters, Kaylee and Tara, and son, Michael.

Even in this difficult time, Rosie was a caring mother who made sure her children were successful, healthy, and happy. As the sole parent, she continued with her love of teaching. It was during this time she developed cancer, but beat it. Her triumph didn’t last long though, as cancer recently reared its ugly head a second time. This round, the battle was more challenging and created mounting stress on her body.

The loss of their mom has left a huge hole in her children’s hearts. We are reaching out to you for help in covering the costs of the funeral. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Thank you in advance for your generosity. We are grateful for any support you are able to provide.
